This dialogue resonates with every Indian girl who has grown up watching Bollywood fairytales where the heroine marries her hero while wearing a stunning Manish Malhotra lehenga and dancing on Mahi Ve.

#1. Deepika Padukone
On 15th November 2018, the entire nation held its collective breath, awaiting the pictures of the most awaited wedding of the year. The most discussed topic was, “What will Deepika wear for her wedding?”
When the undisputed king of Indian fashion meets the undisputed queen of Bollywood, magic is inevitable. Deepika wore Sabyasachi for most of her wedding functions. Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot as per Konkani and Sindhi rituals, staying true to their respective heritages. They had over 8 different functions from pre-wedding rituals to Bollywood reception.
What we love –
- From the red shawl to the subtle shade of pink, everything about Deepika’s mehendi outfit was beautiful. Her satlada haar and style of draping the dupatta added a uniqueness to the whole look. It was one of our favourite looks from the wedding
- Her Anand Karaj dupatta on the head has “akhanda saubhagyavati bhava” embroidered in golden thread. We love the idea of incorporating traditional shlokas in the outfit
- HWe loved how Deepika and Ranveer coordinated each and every outfit of theirs
- The stunning red veil she wore with her gorgeous Zuhair Murad outfit from her Bollywood reception. We love how she changed from red stilettos to white sneakers for the after party because nothing shall stop the happy bride from dancing the night away.
#2. Sonam Kapoor
Sonam and Anand decided to get married closer to home in Mumbai. The wedding was a star-studded affair with a big guest list. Much to their fans’ joy, Insta-stories and Snapchats of b-town celebrities were filled with Sonam’s wedding videos and pictures. Known as the biggest fashion icon of Bollywood, every fashionista was eagerly waiting to see what this beauty chooses to wear for her big day. #3. Priyanka Chopra
The Nickyanka, as they are known by their fans, hosted their wedding at one of the most beautiful palaces in India, The Umaid Bhavan Palace, Jodhpur. The wedding was a beautiful amalgamation of Priyanka and Nick’s respective cultures. Nick and Priyanka didn’t disappoint their fans and released dozens of pictures and videos from the extravagant wedding.
What we love –
- Priyanka’s custom-made Ralph Lauren outfit for her Christian wedding was straight out of a fairy tale. The gorgeous 75-foot veil and the intricately detailed embroidery in her outfit left us awestruck. Her dress had details of her love story embroidered in white, adding a personal touch to her wedding outfit and making it even more special.
- The absolutely gorgeous saree designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla for her sangeet made the desi girl looked nothing less than a royalty
#4. Anushka Sharma
Virushka’s hush-hush wedding didn’t come as a surprise as the media had already started speculations. When they released the first wedding picture, it ignited a little dream in the eyes of every Indian girl. The happiness in their eyes was evident. It was the fairy tale wedding of 2017. She chose Sabyasachi for all her wedding functions and looked absolutely stunning.
What we love –

#6. Dia Mirza
Dia Mirza tied the knot with Sahil Sangha in 2014 at a farmhouse in Delhi. Sahil and Dia had a private wedding ceremony followed by a reception. The couple proved that no matter how diverse your faith and backgrounds are, nothing matters except love.
