New Year Resolutions for the Most Trending Celebs for 2021!

Ok! So I think I speak for everyone when I say that it will be exceptionally gratifying to bid adieu to 2020. For most of us, we have never seen a year so bleak in our lifetime. The pandemic, the calamities, the lives lost, and the lockdown. It’s been brutal. And as we step into 2021, we can only hope to return to the “old normal”, with the freedom to socialize, travel, work, and most importantly, stay healthy. And what’s welcoming 2021 without some new year resolutions we’re pretty likely to break?

We pick some of the most in-news celebs and hope here’s what their new year resolutions are for 2021!

#1. Kangana Ranaut

This fiery actor has been in the news for her controversial statements and strong opinions much more than her acting prowess or work. From politics to drugs and taking on the Mumbai Govt, she’s had a busy 2020. So what does 2021 look like for her? We’re desperately hoping the actor’s resolution includes working on her dialogues in films rather than on news channels! She has a spate of releases coming up from Thalaivi to Dhakkad and more, and here’s hoping that’s what she concentrates on!

2021 Motto: Thou shall focus on what you’re actually good at—acting. Leave the politics to the politician.

 #2. Karan Johar

Every Indian’s vocabulary has been enriched by one word in 2020 and that’s ‘nepotism’. Karan Johar has been at the center of the storm when it comes to this debate and has faced severe trolling and criticism for promoting people in his own social circle. Not only has he lost countless followers on social media, but his films have been boycotted time and again. For 2021, his new year resolutions should include that he must hear what his fans are angry about and use his platform and company to help non-filmy talent take the spotlight!

2021 Motto: Thou shall focus on launching talented people on screen, not just the star kids!

#3. Alia Bhatt

This leading lady has been stealing headlines for all the wrong reasons. From being Karan Johar’s protégée to Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter and Ranbir Kapoor’s girlfriend, she’s been collateral damage all year round. Without having actually done anything herself, she has faced severe backlash thanks to the men in her life. For 2021, here’s hoping Alia can just focus on being her awesome self and not a mentee, daughter, or girlfriend. And of course, we hope to see much more of her amazing work.

2021 Motto: Thou shall find your identity as an individual and stand by it, not be impacted by those around you.

#4. Virat Kohli

The complete opposite of Alia, this latest daddy-to-be on the block has dominated the headlines for all the RIGHT reasons! From his insanely fit body and fancy pushups to his big baby news, his adorable photos with Anusha, and even his ability to get RCB to the qualifiers—there’s lots he’s been up to! So what can his new year resolutions be for 2021? We’re hoping he just continues to do what he’s doing cause he’s seriously killing it!

2021 Motto: Thou shall do as you have been doing and keep rocking!

#5. Rhea Chakroborty

If there is one name that came from obscurity and took over as the most defining celebrity of 2020, it was definitely Rhea Chakraborty. The tragic death of Sushant Singh Rajput catapulted his then-girlfriend into an unimaginable spotlight. From haters to those who sided with her vociferously, she was the topic of every discussion this summer. From her involvement in the alleged suicide to her association with drugs and her eventual arrest, 2020 was not kind to her. For 2021, we hope this actress resolves to leave behind the negativity that was the year past, and focus on her inner self and find her calm again.

2021 Motto: Thou shall meditate, relax and find the joy of life again, leaving the past behind
