Here’s a Step by step guide to creating a wishlist of all the things you want to receive as wedding gifts? It’s extremely simple and can be helpful to both the guests and you.
Step 1: Sign up on weddingwishlist.com
Fill the below form and add all the details related to the wedding which will then be reflected in your registry. After you fill the details a 4 digit code is sent to your registered mobile number. Once you confirm that, your account on weddingwishlist.com is created.
Step 2: Work on your registry.
After you create an account, go to the ‘My registry tab’ from the home page.
When you send a link of your registry, your guests should be looking at a pretty wishlist of the wedding gifts you want. So get that profile picture updated and don’t forget to choose a pretty background.
Change your wallpaper by clicking on the camera icon on the right and corner.
Choose from all the wallpaper options available.
Step 3: Add the gifts you like to your wishlist
Click on the blue ‘Add Gifts’ button to choose the wedding gifts you want to get, post the wedding. Wedding wishlist has a variety of products. From kitchen appliances and homeware to beautiful furniture, honeymoon packages, gift cards and more
You can pick a category to explore and choose wedding gifts from that category.
After you have chosen what you like, go ahead and add it to your registry.
In case you don’t find the wedding gifts you need on the wedding wishlist website, all you have to do is go to another platform and copy the URL of the gift you want. Paste the link on the ‘Add from anywhere’ box on the add gifts page and see the magic happen. The product will be added to your wishlist.
Step 4: Add your Shipping Preference
Once you add your first products to the gift registry it will ask you for your shipping preference. This is basically to notify the company of the shipping date. Most couples opt to receive wedding gifts after the wedding, which is about 1 or 2 weeks after the wedding. Some couples choose to receive the gifts as and how guests buy gifts for them. All in all, it is completely at the discretion of the couple to receive the gifts whenever they want.
Once you’ve added all the products, its time to share the wishlist with family, friends and relatives. Click on the ‘Invite Guests’ drop down on the top right-hand corner and choose a means of communication.
Some registry sharing tips.
Since the registry is a fairly new concept, sharing your wishlist can be a daunting task. Here are a few tips on how to make it subtle but effective
- Add your registry link in your digital invitations. – People used to say ‘no boxed gifts’ in invites earlier. This is a similar way of you letting the guests know exactly what you are looking for.
- Draft a sweet message about your registry – Not many people are aware of the concept of a gift registry. It’s a good way to educate them about the new concept and subtly get the wedding gifts you like.
- Create a Facebook event – Facebook events are a good way to announce your wedding. Add your wedding registry to the About section and you’re good to go.
- Create a wedding website – Wedding websites are the new fad. Adding a registry column in your wedding website is a subtle way to let somebody know of the wedding gifts they want.
