7 Wedding Outfits Inspired from the Best Bollywood Movies

#2. Kalki Koechlin and Deepika Padukone from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

Deepika’s black and blue saree from the ‘Badtameez Dil’ was a rage when the movie released and is still an icon. The shimmering saree with the bright contrasting colour is perfect for a bride’s Sangeet or cocktail night. Even the multi-coloured lehenga that Deepika wore during the Mehendi ceremony is perfect for a bride’s Mehendi and Haldi function. The key is to find contrasting colours that flow together. The most iconic look of Deepika as Mastani which brides can take inspiration from is her ensemble in the Deewani Mastani song. An Anarkali with a heavily worked gold set is something that would look amazing on any bride. You may ditch the Persian hat but to emulate this iconic look you must wear the hathphool and Passa. 

#5. Anushka Sharma from Ae Dil hai Mushkil

Her bridal look in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is perfect for both Hindu and Muslim brides. You just need to add or subtract certain accessories to the wedding outfit. The traditional red combined with the more modern salmon and orange colour gave the traditional lehenga a modern twist. If you’re having a traditional Muslim wedding, pair it with a Jhoomar matching your maang tikka and a passa. If you’re having a Hindu wedding, ditch the Jhoomar and add a bindi and a nath.
