If you haven’t heard about Bridal Asia, you’re missing out on a great wedding resource. A huge exposition that hosts a variety of wedding vendors – from trousseau designers to packers – if you need a wedding related service, this is the best place to find it.

This year, Wedding Wishlist put up our first stall at Bridal Asia and it was definitely an experience to remember! From putting together the stall by hand to interacting with other vendors, we’ve tried to compress three days of hectic memories into one blog post. Hope you enjoy reading about it as much as we liked living it!

Building It Up

Things got off to a hectic start. We landed in Mumbai and immediately began planning out our masterpiece – the stall! Diksha, our designer, says, “As stressful as it was, it was great fun. Starting from a plan we had on paper, to translating it to the physical stall was quite a challenge, but at the end of the day, there’s nothing more satisfying than to see it come alive.”

After putting up the physical structure, the fun part began – putting up the display. Shwetha, who handles logistics, says, “We displayed products across various categories – Home, Decor, Kitchen, Appliance, Dining, Bath, and Bedding. Each crate had a setting of its own. We had one crate just for bath products. One crate held the place settings. One had Silver articles and bar products. We even displayed our favourite copper products”.

It wasn’t easy but as Michelle, our marketing specialist, says, it was “exciting, creative and engaging”.

What We Did

We love interacting with people face-to-face. It’s personal, fun, and is almost always rewarding. That’s why we decided that we needed to play games (to go along with our giveaways). Every hour we challenged visitors to the stall to a game of charades. If they won, they went home with something nice. If they didn’t, they had the chance to come back in an hour and up their game. We had some great mimes in our audience, but we have to admit we liked chatting to them after the game more.

What We Learnt

We’re always looking for useful feedback and what better way to get it than attending an event filled with Brides-to-be. We had a lot of positive reactions and that makes us happy! There’s a lot of energy surrounding big events like Bridal Asia, and we’re glad we got to be a part of it. The general consensus is that we are providing a much needed option for newlyweds and wedding guests alike. That’s what we like to hear! Plus, the fact that you can sign up for free really won people over!
