#1. Carefully choose the Mehendi artist

This is the first and foremost step involving the Mehendi ceremony. Do the needful of going through the former works of the artist to have an idea about how the artist and his troop are going to work. Fix the dates prior to avoid confusion in the last minute. Make sure you give him an idea about the picture you have in your mind and ask him to work accordingly.

#2. Go the natural way

The ingredients that you use in the Mehendi are of utmost concern. Do not go for ingredients just because they claim to make your Mehendi look dark or stay longer. Natural henna is personally recommended as they are very skin-friendly and would not cause any problems later. Many of the ingredients used these days are hazardous and take a toll on your skin later if not immediately. Also, intimate your preferred choice of ingredients to the Mehendi artist beforehand.

#3. Do a patch test

You so don’t want to be sitting with annoying allergies and stinging rashes on your wedding day. It is advisable to do a patch test a few days before your Mehendi ceremony to make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients.

  • Asking your artist to create portraits or sceneries to your Mehendi.
  • Improvising a social cause into your Mehendi such as global warming, gender abuse, etc.

Free advice guys, never feel shy from trying out what you want. It is your big day; slay it all you want.

#5. The right colours matter

The reddish-brown henna that was originally used diluted into a lot of colours with time. Today orange, red and black is easily available. Other colours such as pink, blue, green are also available.
